Which KIMTEK® Skid Units Conform To The National Wildfire Coordinating Group Minimum Standards By Type?

Requirements Screen Shot.

A number of our Firelite Transport skid units for UTV’s and brush trucks conform to the standards of the National Wildfire Coordinating Group Minimum Standards By Type under their classifications of Type 6 and Type 7 apparatus.

We have added a helpful chart to our website which details all the specifications surrounding these standards to give our customers a better understanding as to how our skid units meet or exceed these minimum standards. Please keep in mind that to fully meet or exceed the standards, as KIMTEK only builds the skid units to be placed on and attached to the customers chassis of choice, the customer must use these standards as a reference point for the minimum requirements of the chassis the skid will be mounted on.

The KIMTEK skid units present an affordable, quality and rugged option for fire departments, federal and state forestry agencies and private land management companies to utilize when trying to meet these standards at an affordable price. Our Firelite Brush Truck 302 & 303 units can be customized to feature extra hose lays and extra storage compartments and all have a number of pump sizes to choose from.
